GREEK WEEK CHAMPIONS 2006
The 2006 Greek Week was another success for the men of Epsilon Lambda. The entire week came down to a soccer shootout between Beta and Lambda Chi. In a sudden death situation, president Drew Glover stepped up and scored the game winning goal to win the week.
In Addition to soccer, the Betas excelled to win all the team events of the week including basketball and football. In addition, Vu Tran and Jared Halpin won the pool tournament on bar night. Tom Lovinger, Bobby Buchmann, Saif Ahmed, and Kenny Chuu dominated in their swimming events. And in track, Jason Lurk, Evan Turner, Barry Bernabe, and Brett Heuttl combined to push Beta ahead of all the rest. 2006 DELTA ZETA TURTLEBALL CHAMPIONS Epsilon Lambda proved their dominance on the soccer field again by winning the Delta Zelta Turtleball. Turtleball is a philanthropy event put on by the sorority. In addition to playing soccer, Epsilon Lambda helped raise money for Children's Mercy Hospital. INTRAMURAL CHAMPIONS BASKETBALL AND FOOTBALL The Men of Beta Theta Pi are actively involved in UMKC intramurals. In 2006 Epsilon Lambda continued their excellence by claiming the basketball and football championships. Many brothers came to support the team every weekend and made a big impact on the outcome of the games.
