Kevin Woods holding Knox Award with Dr. Purinton, General Fraternity President

-John Reily Knox Chapter Excellence Award 2007 - The highest award a chapter can receive based on chapter excellence. At the 157th General Convention in 1996, chapter delegates overwhelmingly approved the creation of the John Reily Knox Chapter Excellence Award. Approval of this award established a milestone in Beta history as the delegates evaluated Beta's current recognition of chapter achievement and decided that it was time for Beta chapters to do even better than the Sisson Award.  Epsilon Lambda received this award for the first time at the 168th General Convention in 2007.

-Greek Week Champions 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008 – Greek Week is an annual athletic competition held in the spring between all Greek organizations at UMKC. The competition brings together all Greeks to bring their best in various sports, skills, and events.

-Gold Excellence Award – This award is the highest honor given by UMKC in recognition of Greek Excellence. Various areas to excel in include philanthropy, scholarship, athletics, brotherhood, risk management, and many other things. We have received this great honor every year since the awards inception.

-Sisson Award – This award is given by the General Fraternity each year. It is awarded to the select chapters who meet the requirements of a great chapter of Beta Theta Pi. This year marked the 13th time we received this award.

-Website Excellence 2007: This award is given to a chapter of Beta Theta Pi that has designed and created the most exciting and informative webpage.
